The Isle of Skye

Cuillodon Lake

The Island of SKYE lies off the North West coast of Scotland

The diverse landscape of SKYE, the rugged mountains and the natural beauty but demanding climate has made the Scots one of the most resiliant of all peoples. The close contact with the sea has led the Scots to become great seafarers so they have spread across the globe to many lands. From Afghanistan to Zanzibar, if there is a parade you will find a Highland pipe band in it somewhere.

Take a tour of the island and think about visiting Scotland on your next vacation. You will find the diversity of the country amazing and the History fascinating. We have collected links to just a small fraction of the web sites about Scotland and Celtic culture and history, but it will serve to get you started on a fascinating journey.
